The multi-million dollar project has been hampered by the region's economic crisis which slowed access to building funds. STORY-LINE: It looks like something from Ancient Rome - but this theatre is very much a 21st Century project. It's being built in Sulaymaniyah, the cultural capital of the northern Kurdish region of Iraq. The design replicates Roman design and workers are busy fitting the interior with stone seating. It will be able to host 5,000 theatre goers at once. Engineers boast that the acoustics are so good that people sitting at the back will be able to hear performers without electronic amplification. This is a trip review as I had the experience to travel with this company. Good meal, no personal screen (IFE), not very good seat quality, beautiful cabin crew what else? I arrived with a TK flight in Istanbul and I had to go out and re-check in... I asked for transit but nothing, so there are many shots from Ataturk Terminal. Also great scenery after take off with the city lights and the dawn... Atlasglobal, previously AtlasJet flight from Istanbul - Turkey to Sulaymaniyah - Iraq (Kurdistan) with good breakfast, nice flight, low load factor and it was just 15% cheaper from Turkish Airlines that flights also there.
